Yucky Mummy contributor Leisa starts 2008 with good intentions – and a lock on the pantry door.
It’s time for new year’s resolutions and I am frustrated. Actually it’s not so much time for resolutions, more a time, after the excess of Christmas, to start worrying about my weight and doing something about it. This year I even pre-planned when I would get ‘back on my bike’ and start eating healthily and exercising. I even had Santa deliver me a home trainer for my mountain bike (a stand, to turn my bike into a stationary exercise bike). Read the rest of this entry »

Yucky Mummy contributor Leisa always imagined pole dancing was something for strippers. Now, after a few terms of lessons, pole dancing has changed her life.
It started with a Kate Moss, then a Vanessa into a backward stag, open leg Jamilla and into a Frank… All sound double Dutch to you? Just over 8 weeks ago it was to me too. You see a girlfriend, who really wanted to exercise but was yet to find any form that kept her interested for more than five minutes, informed me that we were signing up for pole dancing lessons – in a studio of course. I thought “Why not?” While I can stay with an exercise for over five minutes, I did need something new to keep my interest. Read the rest of this entry »
